ANNUAL CHURCH
PICNIC – JUNE 10TH
This year the picnic will be held at the church with lunch
provided for $1.00 a person, children under 21 are free. A
bouncy castle and games will be available for the children. |

YOUTH
June 2nd to the 3rd PWRDF 24 hour famine. The youth are
setting one day out of the year aside to think and learn about
our neighbours in other parts of the world and how we can
work to achieve justice and equality. |

WOMEN’S
RETREAT
Planned for Saturday, June 16 from 9:30 am – 3:00
pm Location is Kamp Kiwanis and we will have maps for those
that need them. Tickets will be on sale May 27, June 3 and
June 10 after church and will cost $25 which includes lunch
and snack breaks during the day. |

POSTPARTUM
SUPPORT GROUP
The Corporation is pleased to offer Families Matter, a non-profit
agency here in Calgary, the use of our facility on Thursday
afternoons to run a group for mothers experiencing postpartum
depression. If you know anyone who is interested in this group,
please have them contact Families Matter at 205-5177. |

Depression
Support Group
A new group has been formed for people with
depression and bipolar depression, their friends and families.
The goal of the group is to provide education and information
about these illnesses, and peer support for the people who
have them. For more information please talk to Elizabeth McLennan.

Meditation
The Spiritual Development Committee invites
you to come to a session of Christian Meditation at 7:30 pm
on the third Tuesday of each month. This will be a very simple
session based on the Christian meditation method developed
by John Main, OSB. We will listen to one of his talks for
15 to 20 minutes and then meditate for 25 minutes |

be a scent-free environment to respect those with allergies
who wish to attend our services. Some people get severe headaches,
stomach pains, rashes, etc. when in contact with even a very
small amount of scented product. Please refrain from using
any aftershave, perfume or other scented products before coming
to church. Thank-you for your cooperation. |
